Statement of Services: The Human Resources Department is responsible for the following functions: coordination of employee recruitment and selection, training, counseling, medical evaluation, discipline, grievance administration, staffing analysis and planning, labor relations, labor contract negotiations, health and safety, the early return to work program, compensation administration, position control, pay and classification review, and other matters. In addition, the Department researches and formulates policy as directed by the City Manager or initiated by the Department.
