FEMA said that residents and business owners who sustained losses in the designated counties can begin applying for assistance Friday by registering online at http://www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA(3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired. The toll-free telephone numbers will operate from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (local time) seven days a week until further notice.
Residents still needing volunteer cleanup assistance are asked to call 2-1-1 to be connected with volunteers or fill out an assistance form at www.michigan.gov/miflood.

The Friends of the Madison Heights Public Library Book Sale will be held on Saturday, October 18th, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 19th, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m
