Residential brush will be picked up in two ways: 

Call Public Services at 248-589-2294.  A chipper and a truck will be out within a week to chip the branches.  There is a $25 charge for each 15 minutes or portion of 15 minutes. Calls received by Wednesday will be chipped (weather permitting) starting on Thursday and finished up on Friday.  This method allows us to compost the chips. Chips are free and available to residents at the D.P.S. yard.

Cut your brush into 4-foot lengths and tie securely in bundles not to exceed 1-1/2 feet in girth.  They will be picked up with your normal garbage pick up at no charge.  It is recommended that no more than 5 bundles each week be placed at curbside.  Unfortunately, this brush ends up being put in a landfill. NOTE: The option is only available until the last week of yard waste collection. It begins again when yard waste collection commences in mid-April.
