Those who live, work or attend school (K through college) in Madison Heights may receive a library card without additional charge. The Madison Heights Public Library is a member of The Library Network (TLN). We honor cards issued by member libraries to their residents. The library's membership in TLN allows for the electronic interloan of items from other TLN members. These items are then delivered to Madison Heights for patron pickup.
A myriad of additional services are offered by the library such as home delivery of books to homebound patrons. In an effort to better serve the City's significant and varied immigrant populations, the Library offers English as a Second Language (ESL) collection consisting of books, audio cassettes and videos designed to teach English as a second language.
Public access to the Internet and personal computers for word processing are also available. Liaison is maintained with the City's schools and classroom visits are arranged. Art exhibits are scheduled regularly and adult, and youth programs are offered year-round.
Our library was designated a Federal Documents Depository on June 15, 1982. Many business persons and homeowners are discovering the useful materials now available in this important resource area. Ask us to help you learn more about the scope of government documents available and click Government Documents to find other web-based resources.
