  1. Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC)

    To serve as a forum for the sharing of ideas, trends, and perspectives in IT and their municipal applications and provide Council and staff with feedback on such issues.

  2. Library Advisory Board

    Purpose is to act as an Advisory Board to study and make recommendations for short and long term improvement to the City’s Library System

  3. Multicultural Relations Advisory Board

    To advise the City Council on issues related to or affecting minority communities within Madison Heights, to monitor the policies and practices of the City of Madison Heights with respect to fair and equitable application, and to act as a resource for intercultural awareness, education, and celebration among all people.

  4. Oakland County Committees

    The Oakland County Board of Commissioners encourages community involvement and serving on an Oakland County board, committee or commission is one way for citizens to participate in county government.

  5. OPEB - General Employees

    To serve as Trustees of the General Employees Retiree Health Care Benefits Trust and investment fiduciary to the assets of the trust.

  6. OPEB - Police & Fire

    To serve as Trustees of the General Employees Retiree Health Care Benefits Trust and investment fiduciary to the assets of the trust.

  7. Parks & Recreation Advisory Board

    To promote an outstanding recreational programs for the citizens in the City.

  8. Planning Commission

    To make recommendations to the City Council regarding rezoning requests, zoning ordinance text amendments, easement / right of way vacations, and subdivision approvals.

  9. Police & Fire Retirement Board

    To provide for the establishment, maintenance and administration of a pension and retirement system for the sworn Police and Fire personnel.

  10. Project Directors

    To coordinate activities suggested or assigned by City Council.

  11. Senior Citizen Advisory Commission

    To serve in an advisory capacity regarding the needs, interests and concerns of senior citizens.

  12. Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA)

    To hear, review and decide variance requests, decision appeals or ordinance interpretations from any person, firm or corporation regarding the Zoning Ordinance.
