 Here’s the scoop…

Calling all photographers, the new Madison Heights Arts and Culture Board would like to invite you to participate in our new “This is Home” photo contest and calendar fundraiser to support our arts initiatives.

Any MH resident of any age from serious photographers to camera phone enthusiasts can take part in the contest, and any photo you’ve taken at any time within the city will qualify. Only the photographer can submit the photo.

The Rules...

Photo submissions need to be full color with a resolution of at least 1536 x 1024 pixels, and should tie into one of the following categories:

 Nature, Places, Animals, People, Public Safety, Schools

1 submission per category will be accepted.

The Winners...

3 finalists from each category, as selected by a panel of professional photographers, will be formally recognized by the city council, honored at a public exhibit, and included in an 18-month city calendar that runs from 7/1/18 to 12/31/19. In addition, the top 3 winners overall will receive a cash prize of $250 (1st), $200 (2nd), or $150 (3rd), all generously donated by local businesses and residents.

The Dates...

March 27th – First day submissions will be accepted.

May 14th at 11:59pm – Last day submissions will be accepted.

June 14th – Art exhibit to announce the winners.

June 24th – Exhibit in Civic Center Park during the fireworks festival.
