Friends of the Library
There are many ways to be a Friend!
The Friends of the Madison Heights Public Library is a non-profit organization interested in the growth and development of the library by promoting the library, purchasing equipment and books, funding programming and adding those things not provided by the library budget. All interested people are welcome to participate in the Friends group.
Your Time
The Friends are currently looking for volunteers to help coordinate a Madison Heights book swap/book delivery program! We want to help get print books into the hands of our friends and neighbors who either haven’t been able/or would prefer not to read ebooks and other digital resources during the pandemic. Essentially we need help sorting books and dropping books off to people (by porch drop) at least over the next several weeks as the library phases to reopen.
We would like to have a meeting soon to discuss the book swap/delivery program - fill out the form below if you are interested in volunteering and we will coordinate a time that works for the interested folks!

History
The Friends have been helping to build support for the library since 1957. Their labors encouraged Library growth from the basement of the original City Hall to our present facility. They have provided financial support from membership fees and volunteer support at the Friends of the Library Annual Used Book Sale. Funds raised enable the library to stretch budget dollars and improve services.
Some of the services the Friends of the Madison Heights Public Library have provided include: Youth programs, Prizes for the Summer Reading Programs, Computers for Internet access, A disc repair machine to help prolong the life of our book-on-CD and DVD collections, and a HD Flat panel TV screen for displaying the City information channel.
