About the MHDDA

The Madison Heights Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was created in 1997 to support downtown businesses by eliminating blight, facade improvement and streetscape projects and encouraging development. The Downtown District of Madison Heights is located along John R Rd from Gardenia Ave to 10 Mile and along 11 Mile Road from I-75 to Lorenz St. Our board is committed to creating a more welcoming, pedestrian friendly, vibrant downtown district. Downtown Madison Heights is an affiliate level member of Main Street Oakland County.

MHDDA Facade Improvement Grant

The MHDDA offers a Facade Improvement grant for eligible project for DDA business. The grant is a 50/50 matching grant for up to $10,000. MHDDA Sign Grant

The MHDDA offers a Sign grant for eligible project for DDA business. The grant is a 50/50 matching grant for up to $5000. If you are interested in the sign grant for your DDA area business please review the Guidelines & Application, and contact Giles Tucker at gilestucker@madison-heights.org 


Redevelopment Liquor License Program

If you are a restaurant owner looking to add beer, wine or spirits service to your business you may be eligible for the redevelopment liquor license, which can be obtained for much less that a privately held Class C Liquor License. Allied Level Member of Main Street Oakland County

Established in 2000, Main Street Oakland County is the nation's first and only county-wide Main Street program.
