Matt Lonnerstater was hired as Madison Heights’ City Planner in September, 2021. Prior to joining the Madison Heights team, Matt worked as private planning consultant in Ann Arbor and subsequently served as a city planner in Savannah, Georgia and Greenville, South Carolina. Matt holds a Masters of Urban Planning degree and a Bachelors of Arts degree, both from the University of Michigan. Matt is certified through the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and holds a Zoning Administrator Certificate through Michigan State University’s Planning & Zoning Center.
