Friends Book Shelf is now the Friends Bookstore!

The store will still be open during all regular hours, and you still find great reads, but with more to choose from. Books will be updated throughout the month, and you'll continue to pay by PayPal or use cash at the Library's circulation desk. Thank you for your patronage!

Friends History

The Friends have been helping to build support for the library since 1957. They have provided financial support from membership fees and volunteer support at the Friends of the Library Used Book Sales. Funds raised enable the library to stretch budget dollars and improve services.

Some of the services the Friends of the Madison Heights Public Library have provided include: youth programs, prizes for the Summer Reading Programs, a disc repair machine to help prolong the life of book-on-CD and DVD collections, an HD Flat panel TV screen that displays a slide show of upcoming library events, and the annual Book Page subscription. Since November 2022, they have been sponsoring a virtual author speaker series.
