Guidelines for Donating Books & Other Materials Donations are only accepted on Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Please Donate Books in like-new or good condition Hardcover fiction or non-fiction Children's books DVD movies and TV series Books on CD
Do Not Donate Stained, dirty, or damaged books Text books older than 2 years Reader's Digest or National Geographic Musty books or anything with a noticeable odor Encyclopedias VHS or Cassette Tapes
Shop in the Friends Bookstore! The store is open during the Library's regular hours for you to find great reads. Books will be updated throughout the month, and you can pay by PayPal or use cash at the Library's circulation desk. Thank you for your patronage!
What do we do with your donations? Librarians will evaluate any donated materials for possible addition to the collection, however not every item is suitable or needed. Items that are not needed for the library collection are donated to the Friends of the Madison Heights Public Library.
Consider recycling books that fall into the 'Please do not donate' category, or turn them into crafts. Ask our librarians for more details.
