Christmas Tree Pickup

What We Do

Continuing with our commitment to be the leader in composting and recycling, we will be collecting your Christmas trees and using our brush chippers to chip the trees into wood chips. The program will begin the week after Christmas, and will run through mid January.

What You Need to Do

We are asking for your assistance again this year. Please remove tinsel, ornaments and plastic Christmas tree bags and place the tree at the curb. This will assist in the chipping. No need to call the DPS; we will be patrolling the entire City throughout the pickup season.

Other Options

Oakland County will also be recycling trees at Red Oaks Golf Course. Please call 248-858-0906 for additional locations.
