Summer Reading Program


Summer Reading Program begins June 12, 2017. For more information, please read the Build a Better World (PDF).  This year's program is geared to the whole family.

Toddlers through 12 years old can track all the library books they read this summer.
Teens can take the Summer Reading Checklist Challenge.
Everyone can join in with the Summer Reading Family Bingo.

Toddler Time Story Times with Miss Amanda


Toddler Time Story Times with Miss Amanda at 10:15 a.m. on July 11, 18, 25 and August 1 and 8, 2017. Toddler Time Story Time with Miss Amanda is an interactive story time program just for toddlers offers a variety of stories, finger-plays and songs, plus a simple craft! For ages 2 to 4 years and their caregivers. No Registration Required.

  • ABC Mouse is free for you to use in the library!! Come check it out in the children's room.
  • Book FLIX by Scholastic is a mobile friendly resource that provides early literacy resources for everyone from PreK - 3rd grade. Provided for you by MEL, the Michigan Electronic Library. Click on the picture to see what is offered.
  • Kid Friendly Search Engines
  • Movies at the Library check out what movies are playing
  • World Book eBooks Madison Heights Library offers World Book eBooks. This collection offers a selection of fiction and non-fiction books for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Many of these books have embedded video or audio files. These books are exactly the same as the print copy in the library. All the information needed to cite the book for your paper is included.

Photographs


Pictures may be taken at library programs and events. Please sign a release form if you are interested in being in any posted photographs. Pictures of people that have not signed a release will not be used. A release form is available at the library and at all library programs and events.

All Programs $2.00 for residents and $3.00 for non-residents. Registration is Required - Call 248-588-7763 to register.
